Name: WRHS Personal Project Showcase
Date: February 12, 2018
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM MST
Event Description:
The Personal Project is a chance for students to choose what they want to learn and explore beyond the classroom setting. Students set their own criteria on how they will be scored allowing them the freedom of choice within the project. Advisor Sarah Allen stated, “Seeing the different types of projects is a constant reminder about how amazing, interesting, and diverse our students in this valley are. Some projects that will be presented this year include: truck restorations, diving certification, artisanal cheese making, astrophotography, becoming a hockey referee, building furniture, creating apps, drone academy, Grimm's biking trip, different photography projects, learn Norwegian, learning to play an instrument, making a strandbeest, model of Mars colony, paintings, various cooking projects, running a marathon, Senior Citizen Prom, hosting a short track race, upholstery, and writing a novel among others. Because students are inspired by the project of their choice, the become engaged and enjoy showcasing their work. The students would love to share their projects with the public.”
