Wildflower Walk – Rare Plants of Craters of the Moon Saturday, June 2, 2018; 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Idaho Fish and Game rare plant specialist Dr. Lynn Kinter will lead a field trip to Craters of the Moon National Monument on Saturday, June 2 from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. The walk will feature fascinating plants which thrive in the harsh environment, including the Craters of the Moon Buckwheat which is found nowhere else in the world. Moderate difficulty with uneven terrain. Bring suitable outerware, water and lunch. Please leave Fido at home. Meet at 8:30 AM at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, 4 miles south of Ketchum. Free.
