Event Description:
"Spring is here! Welcome it with a great meal with the Wood River Middle School Leadership Team. Join them for The Big Picnic on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 12:00 to 3:00 at the Wood River Middle School. While having a pleasant afternoon enjoying food from local restaurants, like KBs, Lago Azul, Big Belly Deli, Papa Murphy’s, and Snowbunny to name a few, you will also be helping them get closer to their $6,500 dollar fundraising goal. All proceeds will go to the purchase and installation of new water fountains for the school. Leadership’s goal is to install four new water fountains with water bottle fillers this summer!
At The Big Picnic you can come and enjoy an afternoon full of fun. There will be a raffle with gift cards to many local businesses. The Grand Prize is a 2015/16 Sun Valley ski pass, Zenergy donated a free 3-day pass, and a free 1-week pass, the Bigwood Cinema has given a movie ticket gift card, Shorty’s has given a gift card, and many other businesses have donated as well. Take a chance and win something. Bring your kids and let them have fun with our wide variety of games and activities. Games will include basketball, board games, a marshmallow tower building challenge, relay races, capture the flag, and many more. There will be games for elementary and middle school aged children and games for adults too. The cost will be $5 for children and adults 5 and up or free with the purchase of $10 in raffle tickets. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance of this event and you do not have to be present at The Big Picnic to win. Leadership students will be selling raffle tickets at the Arbor Day Festival at Hop Porter park from 11am - 3 pm. Tickets are also being sold at Wood River Middle School starting now and running through May 15. You can also email Ms. Schrader, the Leadership Teacher, at mschrader@blaineschools.org, and let her know how many raffle tickets you would like to purchase along with your address and phone number and she can make arrangements with you to receive payment and send the tickets to you.
