Steeped in the gilded and gritty sounds of gospel, soul, and funk, this nine-piece act continues to electrify fans, disc jockeys, critics, record collectors, and bloggers the world over with their heart-felt sounds.  Harkening back to 50s and 60s R&B, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings record on analog and if you watch the 100 Days, 100 Nights video, you'll be sure you're watching a vintage film.  You're not.  She'll be live and on stage at River Run for the first picnic show of the summer.  The band packs venues worldwide because of their reputation for incredible live shows: including two consecutive sold out shows last year at New York's legendarly Apollo Theatre, a historical evening at Celebrate Brooklyn! at the Prospect Park Band Shell that brought out nearly 20,000 people and show-stopping sets at SXSW, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and WOMAD.  Most recently, the band has been invited by Prince to open for him at his shows in New York City, Paris, and Ghent.
