Join Sawtooth Society on Saturday, Feb. 14, for the 2nd Annual Sawtooth Skate Ski Clinic at the Park Creek Nordic trails located 6-miles west of Stanley on Hwy. 21. This FREE event will have you mastering the fast and exciting art of skate skiing in the majestic Sawtooth Mountains. The skate ski clinic will offer beginner and intermediate classes with VAMPS Coach EJ Harpham to lead the beginner class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Director Rick Kapala to lead the intermediate class from 1 to 3 p.m. After skating, enjoy $5 chili and drink specials at The Sluice in Stanley.
If you don’t own a pair of skate skis, Backwoods Mountain Sports in Ketchum will rent skis, boots and poles at the highly discounted price of $10 for the day.
