This wonderful festival is co-sponsored by Sawtooth Association/SIHA and Idaho Rivers United, and begins with the Shoshone-Bannock blessing of the Salmon.

The evening prior to the festival (August 23rd) Steve Hawley, author of Recovering a Lost River, will be speaking at SIHA’s lecture series at the Stanley Museum, 5:00pm and the Redfish Center 8:00pm.  This salmon recovery lecture is an excellent lead-in to the festival.

The Sawtooth Salmon Festival will be held August 24th from 10:00am to 9:00pm on the Stanley Museum grounds.  Expect sun, spawning salmon, cold wine and beer, and a great salmon dinner.  There will be vendor booths, live music, including Dan Costello, Scott Knickerbocker, and Blaze ‘n’ Kelly, kids’ activities, and Sunbeam dam tours.  In the evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, a wild salmon dinner will be served- $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids.
