Sage School students and the Environmental Resource Center (ERC) are offering a free educational event highlighting Sage Grouse, a magnificent local bird species at the Wood River Sustainability Center (WRSC). David Skinner, Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Forest Service will facilitate a discussion about Sage Grouse biology, their status in population and conservation, how the community can get involved, and what makes these birds so spectacular. Harry Weekes, Head of School at The Sage School, will speak about the importance of bird education. A stunning photography collection “A Morning in the Lek” by local photographer, Ernie Patricelli, will be on display for the entirety of the evening. This event is open to the public, free and family-friendly. There will be complimentary appetizers provided by WRSC and beer and wine for purchase. This event is sponsored by WOW-Students.
