Papoose Club New Members? Night
Papoose Club New Members’ Night September 23 at 6:30 at the Sawtooth Botanical Gardens!
“I can’t wait to see who will win the Golden Spatula this year!”
The Papoose Club turned 60 this year, and we are inviting new members to join us. Founded in 1954 initially as a babysitting co-op so moms could go skiing, the club has evolved into a philanthropic community tradition.
The mission of the Papoose Club is to promote and assist educational, cultural, and athletic growth for the children of the Wood River Valley. Our big free events are the Kindercup and the Cory Nordic Cup, in which children are invited have fun ski racing. The club’s big fundraising events are the Holiday Bazaar, the Pancake Breakfast at Wagon Days, and the Papoose/Webb Plant Extravaganza.
“Come join us for an evening to learn about the Papoose Club,” invites Shannon Finnegan, Incoming President of the Papoose Club. “We not only create great community traditions with our events but we help many youth, youth groups, and organizations that serve the local youth.”
“The event will take place at the lovely Sawtooth Botanical Garden, and we’ll be mingling over Mexican food while introducing the club to prospective new members,” said Wanuza Leal-Wallace, incoming Vice President. “This is a great opportunity to get to know our members and what makes us tick. And I can’t wait to see who will win the Golden Spatula this year!”
