Mandala Painting Workshop
SUN VALLEY WELLNESS INSTITUTE OFFERS MANDALA PAINTING WORKSHOP
The Sun Valley Wellness Institute continues to expand its year-round program and event offerings and one of the new programs it will be presenting this winter is a weekend Mandala Painting Workshop, March 9 &10, 2012 at All Things Sacred in the Galleria in downtown Ketchum, Idaho.
The workshop will be led by accomplished healer and mandala artist Uma Mulnick of McCall, Idaho, who studies with the world renowned mandala artist Paul Heussenstamm. Mulnick is a chiropractor and acupuncturist by vocation and a mandala artist by avocation, and she is excited to bring this workshop to Sun Valley for the first time. She and her husband have owned Back Country Chiropractic and Wellness Center in McCall, Idaho for the past 20 + years. For most of her life she has felt the calling for "helping people to improve the quality of their lives," and she has fulfilled that mission through her work as a healer. Several years ago she discovered the exquisite mandala painting works of master mandala artist, Paul Heussenstamm at the Chopra Center which “touched her soul.” She decided on the spot to learn the art from Heussenstamm and more recently started sharing her passion and skills in mandala painting with others.
“This is a workshop designed for everyone, no previous experience is necessary, just an interest in finding your own joy through this unique form of artist expression. I invite people to just come and play and let themselves be amazed at what they can create, “ remarked Mulnick. She noted that mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning “sacred circle” or “center.” According to Mulnick, “Painting a mandala is a wonderful way to allow the exploration of your inner self and allow healing on all levels to take place. The workshop provides a safe, supported atmosphere to explore and create a beautiful piece of “heART” work.”
The fee for the weekend workshop is $145, which includes materials, and snacks throughout. There is an additional $25 fee if participants need brushes and all participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch for Saturday.
Space is limited. To register contact Mulnick at 208-315-3777 or muln@frontiernet.net
