History Happy Hour is honored to present Idaho Day 2021 virtually through a special event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Idaho State Capitol building! The Capitol’s construction began in 1905 and continued across two phases until it was dedicated to the people in 1921. Inspiration for our “Capitol of Light” came from many places and times. Some resources were sourced locally, connecting the statehouse with the land that surrounds it, while other skills and supplies came from around the world! Tune in for a conversation about what makes Idaho’s statehouse spectacular.
