You are invited to attend the Hailey Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on February 4, 2015. The 8 AM breakfast meeting will be held at the Blaine County Community Campus. Tickets may be obtained by contacting the Chamber office at 208-788-3484. We have chosen the breakfast meeting format for the convenience of our very busy members. We plan to hold quarterly breakfast meetings throughout the year, featuring a variety of interesting topics.

The meeting will feature a review of chamber activities in 2014 and a presentation on Silver Creek High School’s ‘Big Picture Learning Program’ by Principal, Mike Glenn and Teacher Adam Porth. The most important element of the education at a Big Picture Learning school is that students learn in the real world. The main component of every student’s education is Learning Through Internship or LTI. In LTI the student completes a project that benefits the student and the mentor at the internship site, typically, a local business or agency.

Currently a member of the Chamber Board of Directors, Mike Glenn has spent 10 of his 32 years as a professional educator with Blaine County Schools, while science teacher Adam Porth has a 20 year career with Blaine County Schools.

We are offering a breakfast buffet consisting of Fluffy Scrambled Eggs with Chorizo and Flour Tortillas, Seasonal Fresh Fruit, Starbucks Coffee, tea and Carafe Juice. The cost is $20. Please register above to reserve your seat for this annual event.
