The Hailey Public Library, Idaho Dark Sky Alliance and Boise State University will host astronomer Dr. Rachel Smith in a free talk entitled “From New Stars to the Edge of the Universe: The Search for Extraterrestrial Life and Our Cosmic Origins” on Saturday, March 8, from 5:00-6:00 PM at Town Center West. Dr. Smith is Head of the Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Lab and Curator of Meteorites at North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. A free stargazing session will follow from 7:30-9:30 PM hosted by the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, 11 Gimlet Road, Ketchum. For more information, visit www.haileypubliclibrary.org.
