Name: Creativity at Work?Explore the Art of Fingerprinting!
Date: April 12, 2014
Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM MDT
Event Description:
The Sun Valley Center for the Arts will host a free Family Day on Saturday, April 12, at The Center in Ketchum. The program includes family tours of the Creativity and Work exhibition at 3pm and 4pm, followed by a fun fingerprinting art project.
“Family Days at the Center are a great way to spend an afternoon,” said Katelyn Ziegler, Director of Education and Humanities. “This multigenerational event provides an opportunity for families to engage with art and ideas together.”

Ziegler explained that this Family Day is part of the current multidisciplinary project and exhibition, Creativity at Work. The event is designed to encourage young artists to explore and reflect on their individual creativity and how it fits into their work process. Themes include: What does it mean to be creative? And how do different kinds of workers integrate creativity into their work?

“This event is perfect for families looking for an inspiring activity on a slow Saturday afternoon,” Ziegler said. “Using fingerprinting,” she explained, “we’ll with play with our own artistic and inventive process, pushing ourselves to tap into our creative juices by creating works of art with our own fingerprints.”
