Sun Valley Center for the Arts welcomes classically trained hip-hop violin duo Black Violin to the Sun Valley Opera House. Their concert is part of The Center’s 2015-2016 Performing Arts Series.
Black Violin blends classical, hip-hop, rock, R&B and bluegrass music. Named one of the hottest bands at South by Southwest (SXSW) in 2013, Black Violin was invited to perform at Bonnaroo and returned to SXSW to standing room only crowds. They have played with such big names as Alicia Keys, 50 Cent and Tom Petty and in January 2013, they performed for President Obama at one of his inauguration balls.
