Name: 14th Annual Empty Bowls
Date: February 1, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM MST
Event Description:
Blaine County Charitable Fund, Boulder Mountain Clayworks and the Church of the Big Wood are presenting the annual Empty Bowls event February 1 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm at the Church of the Big Wood. The event benefits Blaine County Charitable Fund’s Emergency Assistance Programs. The event is sponsored by Blaine County Title, DL Evans, Mclaughlin Architects, Windermere Foundation, Wood River Inclusive Catholic Community, and Blaine County Democrats. During the event, guests can browse the handmade bowls and choose their favorite, then fill the bowl with soups, salads, chili, bread, and dessert donated by local chefs and caterers. Thanks to Boulder Mountain Clayworks, there will be more than 300 hand-crafted and hand-painted bowls from local artisans to select from this year. Boulder Mountain Clayworks’ staff and volunteers work hard in engaging the community to create bowls and Blaine County Charitable recruits restaurants and donors. The Church of the Big Wood provides the venue and helps to recruit volunteers from their congregation. Local restaurants and chefs offer their culinary skills to fill the bowls with a satisfying meal. The bonus – the bowl is for attendees to keep! This event raises critical funds that go directly back into our community, helping people with emergency expenses like rent, utilities, and other critical needs. Empty Bowls is held at the Church of the Big Wood’s cafeteria from 11 am-1:30 pm and will feature dishes from local restaurants and caterers including: Atkinsons' Market, Bigwood Bread Bakery and Cafe, The Chocolate Moose, CK's Real Food, Hanger Bread, Galena Lodge, Hunger Coalition, The Ketchum Grill, Limelight Hotel, Nourish Me, Rasberrys Catering & Bistro, Red Star Catering Sawtooth Brewery, Sun Valley Resort, Syd’s Soup, Warfield Distillery & Brewery, and more. Everyone in the community is encouraged to bring family and friends to Empty Bowls and enjoy a truly memorable and meaningful meal. Together, we can ensure that everyone in the community can cover their emergency expenses and thrive in Blaine County. The Church of the Big Wood is located at 100 Saddle Road, across from the YMCA in Ketchum. All are welcome. Admission price is the advance registration of a $25 bowl (children 10 and under have the option of purchasing a disposable bowl to fill with goodies for $10), or $30/$10 at the door.
