Date: October 7, 2020 - October 11, 2020
Event Description:

TRAILING OF THE SHEEP CANCELLED 2020
2021 DATES  25th Anniversary with a fantastic celebration October 6-10, 2021!

With great thought and heavy hearts, the Board of Directors has decided to cancel this year’s Festival for the safety of everyone involved due to the COVID-19 public health pandemic.  But, we can’t wait to celebrate our 25th Anniversary with a fantastic celebration October 6-10, 2021!

It is our hope that you support the local community any way you can and celebrate the sheep in your own way as you see them passing through town.  The sheep trailing tradition has been going on in the Wood River Valley for 150+ years and since we can’t formally celebrate this 24th year of the Festival in our typical grand style, we hope you will capture your favorite photos and create your own memories.

The Festival is five days of nonstop family events including multicultural performers, storytelling, culinary events and cooking classes, a Fiber Festival, Championship Sheepdog Trials, a Folklife Fair and the Trailing of the Sheep Parade with 1,500 sheep trailing down Main Street in Ketchum, Idaho. We invite you to join us this year for the 24th Annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival - sheep, stories, music, Films, food, Fairs, hikes and history.
Location:
Various locations throughout the valley.
