Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on all BCRD’s winter trails throughout the valley will be free. Galena Lodge Ski School is hosting free “Learn to Ski” clinics from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the hour. These 30-minute lessons are designed for beginning skiers to get a head start on their Nordic technique. There will be complimentary equipment available during the lessons. Saturday, December 9, 2017 is also Demo Days for Nordic skiers at Galena Lodge from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nordic equipment from Alpina, Fischer, Madshus, Rossignol, Salomon, Swix and Toko will be available for skiers to try before they buy. Experts from the Elephant’s Perch and Backwoods will be on hand to guide interested skiers with equipment selection.
