Opening Reception for Kirk Anderson’s Rivers Discovered Photography Exhibit January 10th, 2017 5 - 7 pm Please join us for an opening reception with the photographer Kirk Anderson on Tuesday, January 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Kirk Anderson’s Rivers Discovered exhibit opens in The Community Library lecture room starting January as part of the “Art in the Lecture Room” series. The exhibit is part of the Library’s ongoing effort to showcase local artists and local art collections in the Lecture Hall. In his photography, Anderson shows a deep understanding of light, texture and composition, while crafting a stunning integration of landscape, light, and color. This exhibit of sweeping landscape photography highlights our own neighborhood, known for its rich natural heritage. Kirk Anderson’s Rivers Discovered exposes the vastness and natural majesty of Idaho waterways, from the Snake River to Silver Creek, from Swan Valley to the Tetons. “This exhibit elicits a sense of wonder for the West’s landscape and the impressive rivers that define it,” said Jenny Emery Davidson, the Library’s executive director. “We invite people to spend time with the photographs, then check out The Emerald Mile or Cadillac Desert or The Snake River: A Window to the West to learn more about these vital waterways.”
