2020 is the year to “Circle the Wagons”
The Big Hitch Parade has been cancelled but the Wagons will be on display.

Wagon Days is going to be different this year. This is not the year to promote large gatherings, but definitely the year to recognize the challenges our predecessors faced. When the ore wagons made their journey, there was no obstacle that was unsurmountable or a situation too arduous. We need that same resolve today and I know our community has what it takes to see it through. What our predecessors did was circle the wagons, hunker down and ride out the storm. We are asking you to do the same, to keep yourself safe and honor our heritage with the same resilience.

Wagon Days tailgate – with distance

We are asking folks to honor the past by bringing a picnic to the wagons. The wagons will be circled in Festival Meadows and you and your family can celebrate the challenges of the past by bringing a picnic to enjoy the day. There will be music, however ostensibly this will be a Wagon Days tailgate – so bring your hot dogs and hamburgers (and all the trimmings) and enjoy a day in park with your family. Don’t worry, there is plenty of space for all, with designated picnic areas to help everyone maintain a safe distance.
