Event Description:
The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will host New York Botanical Garden’s Laura Vogel for an intimate 3-day illustration workshop ‘Botanical Art: Ink Wash – Tone & Color’ August 23-25. Participants will learn to create beautiful tonal drawings using layers of diluted black India ink. Flat washes, graded washes, dry brush, tonal studies and applying color will also be covered. Students will work on subjects of their choice with individual guidance. Ms. Vogel has been an instructor for the NYBG Botanical Art and Illustration Program for 18 years and is an exceptional botanical illustrator. Fee is $350; 12 student limit. Registration is now open.
